Family Support

Community Concepts operates the Family Support Program in Androscoggin & Oxford Counties on behalf of the Maine Department of Health & Human Services. A licensed social worker and supervisor meet the families at their home to understand the issues the family is experiencing. Family Support social workers will conduct a risk assesment and help the parents put together a plan to address them.

All referrals come through the Maine Department of Human Services Child Protective Services. Family Support typically works with families for less than 6 months. Our goal is to leave the family with a stronger support system and hope for the future.
