Parent Education

Maine Families
Utilizing the Parents as Teachers, Great Beginnings, and Touchpoints curricula, home visitors come to your home to provide new and expecting first time parents with support and child development education. Other benefits include ideas for developmentally appropriate activities to promote your child’s development, developmental assessments, playgroups, home safety education, and assistance linking you to other resources within the community. Home visits are scheduled to suit your family’s needs and are offered on a weekly, twice a month, or monthly basis.
Understanding that there is no one way to parent, home visitors will provide parents with resources and materials to make the best decision for their family. Supporting parents in being their child's first and most influential teacher, home visiting is a safe and confidential way to receive suggestions for parenting concerns.
