Micro Lending Center

Community Concepts Micro Lending Center began lending to local small businesses in 1984. The need at that time was to provide funds to low income applicants, minorities, women and those that could not obtain conventional financing. This need remains the same today. The dream of owning a business is as strong as ever and obtaining a loan to start a business can often be difficult and frustrating. Where to begin? This is the most common question we are asked. Many new businesses start with an idea, but then what. Our micro loan program is designed to help our applicants put together a comprehensive business plan to obtain the financing they need to start a business or grow an existing one. New businesses often need guidance to give them direction to present their ideas and plans in the most positive way.

Working with organizations like SCORE and the Maine Center for Women Work and Community they provide our applicants with the technical assistance they need so that when the come to us for financing their business plan and profit and loss numbers are ready for review. There is no such thing as starting a giant business, at some point every business had to start out small and grow. Community Concepts would like the opportunity to assist you in starting a new business or helping your existing business grow.
