Emergency Repair Loans

Community Concepts Inc. offers a Home Repair & Improvement service that is a loan program with the following guidelines:

  • Must own the property and occupy the residence.
  • Must have a reliable income.
  • Must have reliable credit.
  • Generally debts not to exceed 40 percent of income, higher ratios may be accepted.
  • Mortgages not to exceed value of property.
  • Assets of $25,000 or less, excluding the primary residence and one auto.
  • Target area is Oxford or Androscoggin counties.
  • Must be at 120 percent or less of median income.
  • Application fee of $25.

  • Fuel Assistance Benefit for Income Eligible Clients
  • Benefit is paid directly to client’s fuel vendor of choice
  • Benefits are paid directly to vendors for oil, K-1, wood, or LP Gas

Serves Oxford County

  • Each Shelter houses 9 beds for homeless families
  • The Shelters are operated 24 hours a day-365 days per year
  • The Shelters are multi funded
  • The Shelters assist families only-typically families with children
  • There is no specific length of stay-we assist families until they find safe, affordable housing

  • USDA funded Food Program
  • Community Concepts, Inc. works as the liaison between the USDA and local food pantries
  • This program coordinates 4 food distribution’s per year from the USDA to the local food pantries

  • Client must be eligible for LIHEAP-fuel assistance
  • Emergency fuel assistance for clients that indicate that they have run out of fuel
  • One time household benefit

  • Clients must sign up every year for this benefit
  • Clients sign up for LIAP when completing their LIHEAP application

  • Benefit is paid directly to client’s telephone company
  • Clients sign up for TLP when completing their LIHEAP application
  • Clients need to only sign up for this benefit one time-once eligible, always eligible
